This place has really good hamburgers at a decent price. It is located in a little strip mall close to Brooks City Base. They offer a variety of cheeses for your burger and give you a choice of sides to include tater tots, onion rings or fries. Nothing fancy here, just good burgers made the way you like them. I highly recommend the Big Juicy.

Attempted to visit this restaurant and they are COMPLETELY not ready to operate with COVID procedures. Absolutely no control over seating, spacing or COVID precautions. We walked in and No there was no guidance for seating or otherwise. I stood there for about 4 minutes before deciding we must need to commandeer our own seating. I waited for a 4 top while my husband stood in line to order. A couple (2) came up and argued over table seating because they were assigned to this 4 top table when a 2 top was literally a few feet to the left. When asked about seating, we were told to sit outside. Told the cashier it was full and she said “oh, I didn’t know.” When asked why she sat 2 people at a 4 person table instead of the obvious 2 seater, she replied “ I didn’t see it.” If you aren’t ready to manage a crowd with the COVID precautions, stay closed. Took our business elsewhere.

It's a pleasure to have breakfast in this cafe! There is always a large selection of fresh and delicious dishes.

Good burgers, I love the Beaumont BBQ and the guacamole burger. The fried mushrooms are great too

Sorry for the half eaten Angus burger and fish sandwich...lol! This place was very delicious, better than I thought. Their burger just melted in my mouth, it was very juicy, the fish sandwich was delicious, the pieces were huge and then we cant forget about the brownie sundae...amazing

The 3 stars are for the burger. It was exquisite. The personnel is friendly and the establishment is nice. I also ordered the country fried steak, and it was not good( that's all I'm going to say). If you are visiting I will strongly recommend the burgers, they are well prepared and very tasty, other than that 3 stars. I hope this Review will help you make an informed decision.

Above-average burger. Chicken fried steak is flavorful and tender but batter doesn't stick to steak. Sides are good.

Oh man, I normally ALWAYS take pictures of my food before I eat it, but today was different. I moved away from the Southside and now it takes me 30 minutes to get to Longhorn Cafe. With COVID-19 running rampant, I ordered my Beddah Cheddah online and drove my way over. I have been up since 6:30 this morning and hadn't had breakfast yet so I was starving by my pick up time at noon. I didn't want to risk eating inside (trying to social distance as much as possible) so I debated eating in my car, but I am a messy eater, and these burgers are juicy. I resigned to the 30 minute drive home to enjoy my burger on a table instead of my lap. Y'all. I ran inside and threw my keys who knows where and CRUSHED this burger. It was so good, still relatively hot despite it being 30 minutes since it came off the grill, the bun wasn't soggy, it was PERFECT. So perfect that I didn't even take the time to take a photo. Anyways, if you're ever in the area, stop by for a burger. You won't be disappointed.

Good food, and the atmosphere was calm and casual. Dining area was clean and all empty tables were bussed. The only reason I did not give 5 stars today was that the tea did not taste fresh, which is not acceptable. This is Texas!

Longhorn Cafe have not been there in a while saw them on TV recently was a little disappointed on them hamburger habit okay what's a chicken sandwich what's robbery and chewy

Me and my mom go here often for lunch when we are on this side of town. The staff is friendly and the food is bomb! The sweet potato fries are everything!

This was my 1st time here. I had a great dining experience. The 1st smile was when I trird to come in theough the wrong door & a wonderful worker, Sebastian called to me to come back & come on it this way. He said that he was trying to get to me becore I walked away. He gently explainrd that this is not the normal door to use & pointed me to the correct door. Its 100 degrees and I sure appreciated not having to walk outside to the other door.The restaurant was clean & welcoming. The order board was easy to read and my food came fast and hot. The beef was juicy & tasty. I REALLY enjoyed it.I will come back again!

The service is always friendly and fast. The restaurant has large windows and outdoor seating so the ambiance is nice. The burgers are really good and you can stack them just the way you like. They're reasonably priced too!

Good, beefy burgers, cooked exactly how you want them, at a reasonable price. People who eat fast food burgers often won't get it, but if you avoid fast food burgers, rightfully, because they suck, you'll appreciate what these guys do. This place does everything well. You simply cannot go wrong.

The culmination of my chicken fried steak search weekend. Probably the best of all the places I went to, it was tender and not chewy out fatty or greasy. The mashed potatoes weren't dry, and the gravy was flavorful, not salty. The service was quick, and the meal was hot and fresh.

Burgers been good in past. Went today to dine in with my family of 2 adults, 2 small kids. We were not wearing a mask because we were going remove it right when we got seated, place was empty besides 1 other small family. Guy at door said no mask you can not enter. Trying support the business most likely wont come back ever. We come in no contact with employees and counters are high at register and to grab your meal. Disappointing went down to street to Raising Caines instead.

The service was fast and the food was good. My only complaint was that the restroom toilets were very dirty and not even sanitary to sit on as well as toilet paper and hand towels all over the floors. I feel all restaurants should always have clean restrooms as well because a dirty one can only make a person wonder how bad is their kitchen. That is the only reason why I gave just 3 stars.

The chef salad is on point!! Everything I've ever had here is great! Most importantly I can come for lunch n get back in time!

Laid back place to eat. Decently priced. No table service, you order at counter. Burgers, salads, appetizer players, fish/chicken sandwiches, a few staple plates like chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken and a few kids meal options. Self service drinks.

Went to pick up an order yesterday, i walk in and a lady yells at me to put a mask on. Theres nobody in the place but 2 cooks behind the counter and 2 ladies sitting at a table doing nothing. So i pull my t-shirt over my nose and mouth and she says that isnt good enough. Per the Mayors order you dont have to cover your face unless you cant stay 6 feet away from other people. So my family will NEVER go back to Longhorn Cafe again.

My hubby and I did a to go order today. I got a bacon cheeseburger and my better half chilli cheese burger. Love the burgers and they were great. I even got mine on a wheat bun. We were very disappointed with fries and and tots, not the taste we love them. The size given to us we're much smaller than what we receive in house. They have fresh cut fries. Posted a photo for you. I wish they would bring back the home made tortilla chips. We have been at Longhorn Cafe for many years, and still will.

Burgers are big and juciy and delicious . Just like a good burger should be made fresh and good . Great price too. Good place to hang out at and have a couple of beers....

Got the chicken fried chicken stake. It tasted like they put sugar in the batter. It was unedible. I was told by the cook it was the sweet marinade they use...* on chicken fried chicken steak * Disgusting!!! It tasted like it had been soaked in flat coke syrup. They didn't ever offer to resolve the issue. Longhorn Cafe, I'd omit anything sweet or any marinade from that recipe, use a salt brine instead. Chicken fried chicken is a savory dish, not a sweet one. At least let the customer know on the menu how it's prepared first before they order it. WASTE OF MONEY!

Hamburgers are so Good!!! Everything taste so fresh. We had ours delivered and the Plus was that they staple your bag with your food in it. Love that just I’m case the delivery person decided to eat some of our fries like they did at another restaurant. Thanks Longhorns cafe for this!!!!

Great food. I love the Frito pie. Celebrated our granddaughter's 10th birthday. One of her favorite places for chicken strips.

This place is ok and the hamburgers good. They had plenty of seating I was able to walk in, order from the counter and take a seat. My wife and I had our food in about 10 mins. I got the jalepeno burger with cheese and she had bacon cheeseburger with the new sourdough jalepeno bread. Both were good but nothing special.

Our "go to place", a couple times a week....it's like cheers they even know your name...:)The staff is always friendly & food is hot & scrumptious!Thankyou Guys & Gals ♡♡

Have passed this place a million times and decided today to try it for delivery from doordash....and I have to say I am IMPRESSED!! The chicken fried steak has to be the best I've tried in San Antonio. The mac n cheese and mashed potato portions were huge and I could not eat half of the steak.... DELICIOUS LINGHORN CAFE!!! ILL BE BACK SOON!!!

The Bold BBQ is beast! Onion rings are good too but could use maybe more seasoning or different batter. Love coming here.

Fair food but rude staff. Ran through here to grab a burger and a shake and were treated so rudely we almost left. From the staff sitting at the tables with their masks off (we had to wear them to enter) to the annoyed cashier - overall disappointing experience. Won’t be back.

Food is just ok. Website says they offer curbside takeout but when we got there they said they don't do that. Would have been better to know before ordering. If anything try the popper burger. Very good.

This was my second visit to Longhorn Cafe and I was not impressed on my first visit. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt., Unfortunately it was a BAD choice..After the first bite of my burger it was not good at all...The patties are bland and have no flavor whats so ever.. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD TASTING BURGER.PS: BUFFALO WILD WINGS in the same business park has a much BETTER BURGER in my opinion.
